For snacks its either greek yogurt, walnuts, almonds, or cottage cheese
Hard to tell just by looking. Good food choices but we need to know your macros and the total cals or else you'll just be like a blind man picking out his favorite porno. Hope that makes sense!
ok so heres a typical day.
breakfast:
egg white 34 cals
ezekiel toast 2 pcs 160 cals
orange juice 1cup 110 cals
Total: ~305cals
Lunch:
grill chicken breast 126cals
grill chicken leg 90cals
mixed veggies 60 cals
Total: ~280 cals
Dinner:
tilapia 2 filets 300cals
ezekiel 2pcs 160cals
yam 1 180cals
Total: ~640cals so.......just from brekfast,lunch, dinner is about 1,225cals
Then I usually have a protein shake or two at 120cals each
with or seperate:
greek yogurt 130 cals
Oats 150 cals
Almonds or walnuts ~100 cals Sooo... this puts me at about 1225+500= ~1725 totals cals from food
total in snacks: ~500cals
Then I usually do cardio 3x/week at 20-30mins jogging which is about 250cals burned
followed by weightlifitng for usually 1.5hours, so I should be wayyyyy under my 2000calorie/day goal and I've been doing this for about a month and Ive gained a few pounds of muscle, very little fat, so this is good...
supplements i take are: super pump pre workout and creatine mono+kre alkalyn and gold standard 100% whey vanilla, fish oils, multi-vitamin

I mix up meats and fish and sometimes i have the wheat spaghetti, brown rice instead of the bread or veggies. My question is: eating like this seems like the right way to put on muscle and lose fat....which is my goal.....any critique or additions/subtractions, or advice is appreciated. My longterm goal is to be ~190lbs shredded. +20lbs from where i am right now.
I guess i started doing a cut but lately I have been trying to eat more and more protein so it seems i am turning it into a lean-bulk. I just want more muscle and better abs! hahah

Are you weighing your food where are you getting these measurements and totals?
Watch out for orange juice, most juices have a high content of sugar!
I've been using myfitnessPal calorie counter. Its an iphone app....
i just started using myfitnesspal. most every measurement is in grams. r u weighing all your food?
No i just use the closest option myfitnesspal has available... I know its not exact but it gives u a good idea
Yea but there really is no way to eyeball 4oz compared to 6oz o 8oz and so forth.
Well i usually eat larger portions of everything but i understand now, ill have to invest in a scale
Unfortunately, i ride a huffy.... Gahaaha im jk, ill grab one next time im at the grocery store![]()
Really? Where can u get a good one?
Go to Walmart. Mine cost $7 I think. You don't need anything fancy.Originally Posted by Hydroponics
