    Buying roast/slicing your own steaks?

    Anyone buy big roasts and slice your own steaks to freeze and save money?

    Whats the best cut to look for as far as a lean cut and to cut down on price?

    We buy a whole Sirloin butt and have em slice it 1" or so thick. Love Sirloin because it is leaner than ribeye and we actually prefer the flavor.
