    soy protein, good or bad?

I've read too many different opinions, but was wondering if anyone knew the deal here...does soy protein have negative effects in men, like estrogen related? Any links to a trust worthy site or a study would be appreciated!!

there is no definitive evidence to support the claim that soy increases estrogen levels as far as I'm aware. most of the criticism has been conjecture as far as I'm concerned.

    Pink Floyd?

Re: your original question - I have seen studies claiming both ends of the spectrum. Until something definitive is put out, I err on the side of caution and try to stay away from soy for the most part. This doesn't mean you can't have it. For me, it just means I don't make it a primary food. There are plenty of protein sources out there, so missing out on soy is hardly an issue IMO. Are you avoiding meat/dairy?

I will try to dig up some studies when I have time.

    "Pink Floyd?"

Yup i love that song, such awesome chords!!

No I'm a very big fan of cheese n milk haha and i like almost every type of meat every style of cooking, but my local Co op market/grocery has large, cheap bulk soy that's allegedly good quality and without additives? It was like, 4-6 dollars a pound the other day i think! Prob so vegans can make shakes n stuff
