    Brown rice...

....Is boring (I eat it anyone). Anyone have any good ideas how to make it more fun, I usually use different sauces but that's getting old.

Yeah I haven't eaten any pasta lately, might have to do that for tomorrow. Tonight I'm going to be boring and eat brown rice again.
chicken and peas doesn't sound too bad.

When I'm feeling, dare I say dangerous, whole grain pancakes with sugar free syrup. The stuff I have is about 170 cals, 2 g fat, 29 g carbs (0 sugar), 7 g protein...I can't remember what the syrup is, I think it's like 8 carbs, no sugars. If ur bulking its not too bad of a meal, it's no chicken, brown rice and broccoli lol but every now and again for dinner (I love breakfast for dinner) to break up the monotony

Sugar free syrup? Gross haha. Sugar doesn't make me gain extra fat when it comes from good natural sources, so I use organic pure maple syrup (It actually contains vitamins, minerals, and amino acids).

It's not so much the fat that concerns me, it's the insulin spikes that can have an effect on a wide array of things. The sugar free still spiked it due to the carbs, but no where near natural maple syrup, karo, or regular mrs butters worth, and it doesn't taste all that bad. I jacked my dads blood glucose meter one day and spent a week testing sh1t. Every one of my fingers were in pain after a week lol

haha, that doesn't sound like fun. On a side note, I only eat whole wheat pancakes for breakfast. Although a pancake dinner does sound good.

I added that to it yesterday. I'm going to try some seasoning today, instead of sauce.

Hey Shred, this is a personal favorite of mine. I’m not sure how much rice you generally eat in one serving but here is how I do it.

1 Serving: Brown rice w/ corn, black beans (7.5p/53c/2f 260cal) + McCormick Enchilada Sauce Mix (3carbs 280mg sodium)
¼ cup (40g) long grain brown basmati rice, dry
    ¼ cup (65g) black beans)
    ¼ cup (62.5g) corn

I like to make a bulk of 8 servings at a time.

2 cups rice, Cook as you normally would.

2 cups corn and 2 cups black beans, Strain out the necessary amounts of veggies. When the rice is almost done add in two cups of your favorite canned corn and canned black beans (I am cheap and use the wal-mart brand low sodium stuff). Add 1-2 cups water. Pour in 1 package of McCormick Enchilada Sauce Mix. Simmer an additional 30ish minutes.

If you divide the above bulk recipe into 8 you get the macros for the 1 serving above. Eat it plain, with hot sauce, in a tortilla, with some chicken, whatever. If you like Mexican food you will love this.

Make a fried rice using veggies, brown rice, eggs, and low sodium soy sauce.

I do this often while bulking. I make a large batch and will add meats to it
