Need advice...
I'm 20 years old on the cusp of turning 21, I'm 82kgs and stand at 6"2. My main objective is to stack on weight but remain defined I would like to achieve a 5-8kg increase however my diet is fairly good not strict and I need to change that. I have a high metabolism and it seems impossible to keep weight on.
Here is the tricky bit...
I play basketball upto 4-5 times a week. And I'm talking 2-3 hours a session, pouring in sweat. Now i don't want to give basketball up and I need to be more strict on my diet though I find eating quite a difficult task when I'm not 'starving'
Please post thoughts and comments. Open to suggestions.
Thankyou.

What can really be said? If you want to add mass, you need to eat, period. Make it a priority. What do you find "difficult" about it?

The most difficult thing is to be consistent with my eating. I struggle at best to eat ever 5 hours. I know I have to make it a priority and this is why I'm doing something about it and not just trying to give it another go like every other failed attempt. I also struggle at pre perparing meals and find after making them meals for the week I don't want them. It's a massive psychological battle. Something I want to get over. I'm tired of my traning failing because of my diet.

No, I've never heard of IF don't know how/what to do.
Will the amount if cardio I do effect my gains? And I'll need to eat more than usual to keep my carbs balanced with the ones leaving?

Too much cardio can adversely affect gains in a similar way that too little nutrition can. However, most people are not doing 'too much' cardio; in fact, most aren't doing enough. I wouldn't worry much about that tbh.

Don't eat when you are hungry, eat when you need to...set an alarm..food will give you the energy to go to the gym regularly and lift heavier..eventually, your body will get use to eat more food..so you'll progress.. spend less time on cardio and more time in kitchen...
