diet coke bad ?
I love diet coke and mountain dew.
and i drink 2-3 cans a day
usually with meals
i follow good cutting diet now and doing cardio but wanted to know if it would effect diet as in losing fat OR muscle gains
cuz i heard some people said if you drink it with your high protein meal your body wont take the protein or something!

I personally say go nuts if you like it... as long as its diet and contains no calories...
There adverse affects though.... Aspartame is bad for you as we all know and the pop makes your body acidic which in turns is unhealthy. Your bodies pH level is very important in process of fighting off free radicals and by ingesting a lot of beverages like diet coke you throw your pH level off.
Not gonna dive into that on here though

I just know that it causes cortazal levels to increase causing belly fat to buildup! My wife is a Diet Coke addict...it used to be 6-8 a day. Now probaly 3 a day. She always has it in the fridge so I drink it as well. I am trying to get her (and I) to avoid it for a few months and see if there is a notable difference!

dude i cant avoid it. its the only thing that has sweet taste because i don't eat any sweets. MY diet is very strict...
so If it changes the PH in the body how does that really effect losing fat/gaining muscle
what would be the difference if you have lower PH ( acidic) than having your PH at equilibrium.
also another question for Lunk
now it elevates levels of Cortazel ( sp?) how will that cause belly fat to increase if im only taking 20g of fats TOPS and workinout heavy and doing 30 min HIT cardio twice a day ?
where would the fat come from ?

pH level does not effect you losing weight and gaining muscle... read my whole post.
I said "I personally say go nuts if you like it... as long as its diet and contains no calories..." <--- This means drink all you want
I just wanted to comment on the other negative side effects on your body

I feel the same way on a cut. I just need that sweet taste and since I can't have any "real" carb I start drinking zero cal/carb drinks (i.e. Diet RocksStars, Monsters and Coke Zero).
It's not good for you though and that's a fact. I try my best to keep it to a minimum(like 1-2 drinks per day).

Have an article here that does state that a PH imbalance in your food can be detrimental but not allowed to post URLS up yet as I am too low a poster!
I'm not endorsing it one way or the other just made for an interesting read.
I have the same thing, Pepsi Max did wonders for my mental wellbeing when I did a horrible Fat fast diet.

It may not have near the effect on a BB or anyone eating well and doing plenty of cardio but anyone who has any excess fat intake or excess of calories can benefit dropping diet sodas due to the higher cotazal levels causing fat to be stored more easily in the abdominal area.
Again...this is mainly a standard person, it may not apply as much to someone who is not taking in any excess cals
