    what would you choose?

I am just starting to change my eating habits. My goal is 40/40/20 and 2300-2500cal daily and no snacking after 7pm.

I have 200 cal remaining, my protein is 30g short for the day but it is after 7pm. What "rule" would you break and why? Would you choose to be short on protein or right with the fast?

only logical reason i could see would be IF, ADF, or some type of fasting protocol..

Logical yes. But I'm kind if fearing a bro-science 'eating after 7pm will make you fat' answer. Hope you're right!

No one is answering my question? The replies are mostly attempts to change or understand the parameters of the dilema. I have created a situation in which I am asking you to choose a course of action and explain why. If one doesn't learn the decision making process then a lifestyle change is out of reach and the only thing a person will do is follow other peoples advise or the latest fad. If I had asked macronutrients or calories which is better? then it would be another one of those threads.

I could reword the dilema...what is the last diet rule you would sacrifice and why? But I don't think it is as fun to learn that way. But now I have suckked the fun right out of this with my long winded bs.

I don't see the dilemma or the fun, sorry. I have no issue eating after 7pm because i dont believe in fasting and calories and macro's shouldn't be strictly set over a 24hour period so I wouldn't worry about my cals being short one day an over the other.

I eat roughly 600 calories (protein/fat and minimal carbs) at 10pm, then hit the pillow 10 mins later. Fasting aside, there's no good reason not to eat a planned meal before bed if it fits your macros. Note I said planned. 'Snacking' doesn't make the cut.

Who cares OP its 30g of protein for one day, eat it or don't eat it there will be no difference.

Also why can't you eat after 7pm?
