Too much protien?
Hi everyone
Do you reccon you can have too much protien??
Im just asking as im thinking of changing my diet. I have been doing my weekly shop and some calculations regarding the price of high protien foods and I have worked out that .
Aldi Chicken Breast 27.4g/100 1kg bag x2 = ₤4.00 = 406g Protien
Sainsburys Chick Brst 23g/100 500g bag x4 = ₤4.00 = 274g
Aldi Tuna Chunks in spring water 23g/100 drained 130g tins x 8 = ₤5.00 = 200g
Now the best deal to me seems the Aldi chick breats so I'm going to stop eating tuna and eat 2kg per day as its only ₤3.98 cheeper than a mcDonalds
So
Chick breast 406g
Protien shake/milk x2 100g
4 scrambled eggs & 3 whole meal toast 40g
cottage chese 40g
nuts 30g
total protien 616 grams or if I ate my 2 tins of tuna per day also 676 grams
Iv'e only listed the high protien foods I eat and not the rest so no silly comments about im not eating carbs fats ect please .

IMO 2g protein per lb LBM is sufficient. u could actually get by on less.. i do think there is such a thing as too much protein too yes.. just like anything else. the only thing i can think of where u cant have too much of it is:
sex, money, and fun!
