    Different carb sources

I pretty much eat oats and quinoa for my carbs. I eat the odd sweet potato, but in reality mostly oats and quinoa.
Is there any downside to not using a variety of carb sources?

Other than the potential to become bored, no downside at all from a health standpoint.

So true. In a few more weeks, I'm gonna have to start living by this ^^ again.

Kind of, lol. I don't believe in 'bulking' per se... but I've been focusing on adding mass over the past 8-12 months and have let it get out of hand. I find it much easier to cut... when I 'bulk', I start making too many allowances... gradually... but eventually I look in the mirror and i'm like FCK!! I'm fat!!

Same thing happened to me, over the course of a year.. basically like you said one day I looked in the mirror and said wow it doesn't even look like I work out. Think Im just going to get in the habit of eating clean most of the year, I always found it more impressive guys that were strong and lean than big hulking dudes with guts

Oats are my main carb sauce too, I also like red lentils (rich in protein) potato and wholemeal cous cous are my main go too carbs

Agreed. Anybody can be big and strong (and fat). It takes a certain type of individual, with dedication and focus, to be lean and muscular.
