    Milk - bloating and gassy?

    Hey guys

I recently re-introduced light milk back into my diet (1 cup per day) and I feel quite bloated and I am also unusually gassy. Does milk cause this or could it be something else?

P.S the only other source of lactose I was having prior to milk was ~1 cup of cottage cheese (97% fat free)

    Thanks guys

I've been having milk forever and this was the first time I cut it out... guess it will have to stay out then.

when u used to drink it did u get gas?? if not it may not be the lactose. it also depends what the rest of ur diet looks like. how low are u running ur carbs? on the days when u included the milk were ur carbs also increased substantially? when i cycle carbs (everyday) on low carb days i rarely fart, but on high carb days i fart a lot, starting about 2 hrs after eating my first carb meal onward..

^ 405 during my last bulk I got quite gassy towards the end, however I thought that was because I was eating a lot of broccoli. Maybe it was the cup or two of milk I was having everyday though? I was having ~4500 calories on training days and ~3700 on rest days.

During my cut my macros were sitting at the following for the last 6-8 weeks:
    - Cardio only days - 240p/140c/55f
    - Weight training days - 240p/300c/55f
    - Leg/refeed day - 240p/480c/55f

I've been adding calories every day for the past week and this is how my macros currently sit:
    - Cardio only days - 250p/175c/60f
    - Weight training days - 260p/350c/60f
    - Leg/refeed day - 250p/480c/60f

P.S: the first day of adding extra calories came from 1 cup of milk at 20gm of oats (if that helps at all)

I tried to copy and past my diet log from my excel spread sheet however it didn't work too well. I've attached a rest and training day from the past week

Milk doesnt do anything bad for me but I know so many people who have problems with it. I love drinking a little milk here and there.

Let's also not forget all the female hormones that gets transmitted to your body every time you drink milk, estrogen being the first and foremost...

People with high estrogen sensitivity will also have to avoid milk for that matter; that is, unless they want to look bloated and puffy for some reason.

OP first off LOVE the Atkatsuki av....second I was the same way....cut everything out of my diet except water and tea about 5 years ago when I was 225....then started drinking milk months later and....well lets say it wasnt pretty lol....you'll get used to hit again it will take a while though....I also found that fatfree milk or or 2% is a lot easier on my stomach versus whole milk

    Well now I know!

I cut out the 1 cup of milk I was having with my oats and replaced the calories with more oats. I certainly feel a lot better.

    Thanks for your help guys
