Shaky hands after working out? Anyone deal with this before?

Lately I've been getting very bad shaky hands after lifting. Makes me super self-concious to eat or order food after I lift because it looks like I have parkinsons disease lol. It usually goes away within about an hour or so and after I get some food in me.

I know this can be attributed to low blood sugar, however I'm not sure that's it. I usually eat a fairly good sized meal before I go to the gym, yet it still happens. I don't take pre-workouts at all. The only supps I'm on are protein, creatine, beta alanine, DAA, citrilline malate, multi, fish oil, vitamin b complex, vitamin d. Not on cycle or anything right now and haven't been for some time so I doubt it's that (plus I got blood work recently that all came back pretty normal). Another thing I've noticed lately is some slight muscle cramping. I guess this could be a sign of dehydration, but I always drink roughly 26 oz of a BCAA drink during my workouts. Any thoughts on this? It's so frustrating being embarrassed to eat in front of anyone due to my shaking after lifting.

As a note, right now I just got done lifting about an hour and 15 mins ago. I had a farily large meal (chicken fajitas, rice, and beans) about 45 mins ago. The shaking is much better than it was now, however if i squeeze my hand into a fist it will still shake fairly bad. I guess this could just be exhaustion of the muscle (had my back and shoulders workout today), but it seems like there might be something else at play here. This only happens after the gym too, so I don't think its anything serious.

EDIT: Wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post in, but I figured it could have something directly to do with nutrition so thats why I posted here.

Ya, I mean that was my first thought. Anything I can do to counter this? Would eating some simple carbs like fruit before workouts be a good idea to help maintain a good blood sugar level?

This was my first thought. Perhaps eating a large orange right before your workout may help.

    A banana would be good......................

....another symptom i get is drowsiness. If i deplete my blood sugar levels, then later, I get tired. A banana before gym surprisingly helps alot

Make sure you consume protein and complex carbs no more than an hour prior to your workout! Unless you are doing some very long HIT style training in which case you may have to consume something in the middle of your workout out!

Awesome, thanks for the advice guys. I'll eat more before my next workout session and try to get some fruit or other simple carbs right before I hit the gym.

us old timers, what we used to do?

it's called the honey trick. when you are doing some very intensive routines, to keep from being depleted, some of us would bring a honey bottle to suck on. you don't need much. but it really works.

nowadays, there is a long list of reasons NOT to do this. But we were too stupid back in the day to not know NOT to do it. All we knew was that it did work.

Are you on any sort of fasting, or carb depletion? Could this be hyperglycaemia? From what I've read this seems to have a similar effect to what you're suggesting. The big meal before the workout could e contributing?

Just a thought, it popped right into my head as I was reading about it today, obviously the experts will know better of my suggestion is silly.
