What matters in cutting?
I was wondering if you will have the same outcome in cutting bf%, from a no carb diet at 1200 cals/day or if you just consume 1200 cals/day it will have the same outcome?

Cals in vs Cals out yes... BUt not all Cals are created equal.
Also Protein is a building block for nuscle tissue growth/repair. In the absence of carbs the body may use this (by glucogenesis) as energy.
Carbs are protein sparing. Although no/low carb may be a quick fix I feel implementing carbs is a better approach.

I see ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE for NO CARB diets UNLESS you are dwindling down for a competition or you just want to be that douche and get really lean because of an upcoming vaction....Those would really be the only 2 options in my opinion...
You can't build muscle without protein in your diet, so if you just ate carbs and fats then you will get that skinny fat look....
What you want to do is carb cycling....It keeps your body ALWAYS guessing which helps eliminate plateaus in weight loss...
