Can i drink pepsi diet { no sugar } in cutting ?
Soda's of any kind are garbage.
Agreed. If you're serious about cutting you need to drop the junk that isn't healthy. There is no nutritive value in soda.Quote:

In the south we call it coke in general. For example...at a restuarant.
Me: I'll have a coke
Waiter: Okay what kind?
Me: Mountain Dew
Waiter: Alright what else?
If you actually want a coke you would ask for a coca cola.
To answer the op's original question. Diet Pepsi, coke, soda, pop, sodapop, soft drinks, etc are all bad for you and not advantageous to living a healthly lifestyle; however, IMO I don't think it's gonna cause you to gain any extra weight or even hinder your weight loss. But that's just me...
I've heard of one theory that says that diet cola tricks the brain into sending out insulin, and obviously there is no sugar there to be shuttled... It's no wonder that people remain or become overweight while drinking it.
the answer to the OP's question is "yes".
water is your best bet if you want to lose weight and cut
Interesting. This is new on me.Quote:

One thing that need not be overlooked: elements of diet that may be sub par (diet soda) on their own but whose presence enables one to maintain compliance in other areas (food choices) IMO can actually be beneficial.
In other words: if drinking diet coke will help u not eat candy bars and doughnuts then drink the diet coke. From my experience diet soda has little to ZERO impact on ur ability to reduce bf%.
^^obviously u are correct austin, i suppose i should have said in my experience, drinking diet soda has not limited my ability to get into single digit bf% but it may have slowed it down and could be a contributing factor as to why i was unable to get below 9%.. food for thought, and far be it for me to not learn something out of hard headedness and next time i cut i will eliminate the diet soda just for u pal! ;)
haha. I love it. Hey I cut a lot of things from my diet just by reading your posts!! You owe me this one.
Totally kidding of course, I'd love to be able to cut to 9% and have a few diet sodas here and there. My body just wont let me :( But I'm getting used to Diet green tea! Citrus flavor!
^^ yeh i found places in my area that sell it.. i am interested to ur speculation as to why this is the case? also not even with T3?? and are u sure its the soda?? seems it could be any number of other more likely factors without seeing ur whole deal. :)
shoot man not only did i drink diet soda but also ate cereal and bread and fruit and dairy.. LOL..
I love my diet Dr Pepper and drink it all the way to show date.
I have to agree with 405. I have 1-2 coke zero's a day (some times with Crown Royal mixed in). It seems to satisfy my sweet tooth so that I stay away from other foods. Are there a healthier alternative?? Yes water, green tea, etc... But, I don't do cheat days so that is my one vise! I have been dropping bodyfat pretty quickly ... could it be faster probably but, I still have to June 26th to achieve my goal.
^^^THIS. diet soda (pop) may or may not have an impact on fat loss. (my guess is that any impact is minimal.) HOWEVER, a diet that is 90% "pure" that you can stick to, is ultimately successful, whereas the 100% perfect, "pure" diet that you can NOT stick to, is a failure. if you can stick to the 100% diet, great! you don't get any extra credit if the diet is extra hard, though. results are results.
405, your experience proves that it is possible diet down to very low levels of body fat with regular consumption of diet soda. that's what i meant above where i posted that the answer to the OP's question is "yes".
I occasionally drink diet soda. I found it a great sub when I am hungry, standing in the checkout at grocery store, and all the freakin chocolate candy bars are laying there so provocatively begging me to bite. Diet soda has saved me on several occasions from sinning!! Lol.
Diet pop keeps me sane at times. When I get a hankering to binge on something, I just grab a diet pop and the feeling goes away..
Pretty boring living off water for the past 3 months
