Are canned baked beans a good form for carbs and protein?
Canned baked beans are typically loaded with sugar. Further, beans by themselves are in incomplete protein source.
I'm a big fan of beans, but not the canned baked beans. Kidney, White/Navy, Chick Peas (garbanzo beans), Pinto, etc. Bean and legumes in general are a great carb source (not to mention fiber) but IMO eating them loaded up with sugar ruins them.
