The humidity is a killer. Lived there 5 years and felt like I was in a sauna most of the time. lol. Seeing as your from Jersey you probably have high humidity there too.

Yep. Jersey gets disgustingly humid, which is why I don't sweat the idea of FL heat. Granted, FL is hotter, for longer, but we definitely have our share of 95+ degree, high humidity days here too.

Dont worry man there are a ton of people here without a tan. You will be in better shape than most of the people whether they have a tan or not.

Haha, I am whiter than you gb; so don't worry about it. The picture I posted of my legs even scared some members, lol. I definitely need to start tanning, but in Colorado it is hard because it is 90° F one day and snowing the next! Have fun in Florida my man. If you don't mind my asking, what is the reason for your trip? Vacation?

It's not hotter here but the higher humidity makes it feel hotter. We stay hot longer so people think it's hotter here but in the hottest part of the summer the weather map consistently shows higher temps in other parts of the country, the west, south, central and even the northeast. I was in Twentynine Palms (Death Valley) and the base personnel kept stressing the need for water and possibility of heat stroke. However, when you sweat there it evaporates and cools your body...wierd. Here sweat acts like a blanket and makes you hotter and hotter. Have fun in the Sunshine State. BTW, Camden County, the southernmost county on 95 in Ga. is notorious for speed traps. Brevard county-Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area, sometimes has speed traps too.
