    canned salmon

Canned salmon will become a staple in my cutting diet. With training late after work and anxious to get to bed, I've found it to be very convenient in the past.

As with many canned fish, it's difficult to say if the macros listed on the can are measured drained, or not, or if they're even accurate....

Can anyone give me the macros for canned salmon? And how you measured it (drained; per so many grams, etc)?

Thanks a lot! I will be posting my diet in my other thread "Musclestacks's cutting progress log" after I get this info.

I eat about 3 cans per week, just eat the whole can and the oil, you're getting good fats from the fish anyways, I wouldn't worry about it, eat up!

There is a bit of a regulatory controversy at present as far as fish (and salmon in particular) are concerned. Studies have been released indicating that farm raised salmon contain 4x the fat per serving as compared to wild caught fish. However, companies have been applying the wild caught nutrition to farm raised fish as this is not expressly disallowed.

I'm lucky in that I catch and can/process my own fish, but if I were you I would spring for the wild caught variety. I have seen it available in Costco for a reasonable price.
