Well I'm not too sure how it all works, but my understanding of it is my fat will turn into muscle? I'd rather lose some of the fat first, or would gym only help me?

LOL.. i have heard the expression too but it is incorrect. what it may be describing is "re-comping" where u lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. fat does not turn into muscle.. it gets burned off and muscle can be increased due to lifting weights and excess calories (typically).

    read these:
    cutting:
    http://forums.steroid.com/nutrition-...1-cutting.html

    bulking:
    http://forums.steroid.com/nutrition-...ulking***.html

u may think u dont need to read about bulking right now but i say u should as itll give u more of a complete understanding of diet vs just reading the cutting sticky. from ur posts above u have a good bit to learn. u have come to the right place! welcome!

Thankyou mate been a big help! Going to kick start it all tomorrow, I am finding it hard to find things to eat to make up my numbers lol, 2200 calories seems like so much to eat without eating junk food or something high in carbs.

yea bro remember the more lmb (lean body mass aka muscle ) you have the more calories you burn while doing nothing! So the gym will double your progress especially from someone who does not work out!

Only 405 can turn fat into muscle.

I wish I had known sooner that fat turns into muscle! Why the hell am I cutting!?! Apparently I should just eat McDonalds and sit back and watch the fat convert to muscle. Easy-peasy.
