So I'm in need of some intelligence on this matter, my brother wants to start bulking up but is a avid smoker, I've heard from people before that the nicotine will hinder your growth, I have zero knowledge in this department and was hoping someone could help me with some info for my brother just because it came up in our discussion and I really didn't have an answer for him
This is beyond ridiculous. Aside from decreased efforts and lack of endurance from respiratory issues, it most certainly will affect muscle tissue development rate.
Can he grow? Yes, sure. But he'll be working 10 times as hard as a non smoker and most likely be too weak and give up. He's already proven to be weak minded. Very weak.
This is mind boggling. If someone came to me and asked me how to bulk or cut or whatever, with a cigarette in their mouth, I would laugh and walk away, probably call them a complete idiot.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but this is stupid and disgusting. If he can't succeed at being healthy, what makes you think he has the ability to succeed in the gym?
Huh? Talk about your priorities being backwards. He's worried about how smoking will be detrimental to putting on mass, as opposed to how it is killing him?
This makes as much sense as cancer patients smoking cigarettes before their chemo appointment.
If your brother is looking to improve is health and well being, he needs to start by stomping out the cigarettes.
well im actually the one that brought up his smoking as an issue, frankly hes one of only 2 or 3 people i do smoke, so when he said "well what exactly will it prevent" i could really only say endurance and lung capacity(frankly i dont know much about nicotine(smoking) other than scaring of lungs and cancer) appreciate the feedback harsh or not at least i can email this to him and hopefully slap the cigarretes out of his mouth with words.Quote:
