Sorry to hear that. There is absolutely nothing worse than a screwed up back. Can't walk. Can't sit. Can't lay down. Can't roll over in bed. Can't get dressed. Hope it gets better soon, man.
I hate anything that makes me not being able to hit the gym. Had a fever on Monday and I felt guilty about not going to the gym and I felt, out all things, lazy. Hate it so I feel your pain here.

Cheers buddy
Yeah, all of these. Had a poor nights sleep and don't talk to me about trying to put socks on lol
Well, I can't really feel guilty, there's no way I can train today but I am missing it. It means I will only have trained twice this week but it really isn't worth the risk and keeping me out for longer.
Now, the really sad part is that I have to cut my carbs on training days to take into account the lack of training:(
Bib sorry to hear about the back man. Hope u get feeling better soon! Btw i got the keto strips wednesda. Thx buddy! Andfor the chocolate.. Just what i need! ;)
Ha ha, that's my desert island chocolate that is. I appreciate American chocolate is very different to ours. It I hope you like it whenever you try it;)
It had better, I don't go for another 4 weeks.
Haven't trained since Thursday and won't before Tuesday. Even then I think I will be having a deload week utilising machines with no leg work. I'm bummed about it but have stuck to my amended (lowered carbs) nutrition plan.
Bollocks!!!
Trained today for the first time in a week (exception of the ill fated leg press set on Thursday). Having to be careful because of my back so will be mostly machines this week and I will use it as a deload week too.
Back still really sore, just needs managing:(
sorry buddy! did i tell u i got the keto strips? (thanks again)
it prob wont make u feel any better but i did 315lb deads for the first time today for 2 sets (the same weight i hurt my back doing a few weeks ago).. :)
i remember when u hurt ur bACK WORKING ON A FENCE A COUPLE YEARS AGO. ULL BE BACK IN full swing in no time! :)
You told me mate, I replied a couple of posts up.Quote:

Are you going to run your keto plan then?
^^keto plan.. not sure. (lol) right now i am running a diet i ran back in 2012. it is a 7 day carb cycle but a bit different than the one i was on a couple weeks ago. im also back to doing fasted cardio 6 days per week. i havent done any in like a year. fun fun fun..
man the portions im eating right now are hilarious!. back to 5-6 meals per day.. in any event my progress has slowed to a crawl and ive been trying to pinpoint it. i think the obvious is the culprit, but for some reason i didnt recognize it.
too many calories and too little cardio! and i think i do well with am fasted cardio vs afternoon cardio..
Back improving each day but still not great. Trained today but having a deload week.
Dropped my carbs as a result of not really training but it appears a little too much as I'm down 2lbs to 196 this morning. Gonna run a mini cut for 3.5 weeks up to my holiday. It's only a drop, on average, of about 250cals per day.
didnt u just come back from 2 holidays?? ;)
what can I say, my Mrs loves going away:)Quote:

Back is feeling a whole load better. Still not risking training legs or lifting weights from the floor but I have had a pretty good workout week, all things considered. Hopefully I can hit it hard again next week.
With the exception of Romanian deadlifts I have trained as normal this week. I had to sub in horizontal leg press instead of the 45 degree version for the sake of my back though. Lost a rep or 2 on some exercises but gained a rep or 2 on others.
Weight at 196-197lbs. Holiday in 2 weeks so might lose 2lbs before then.
Hoping for my first Nebido shot next week:)
glad to hear that the back is getting better bud
i know it is killing you not to train hard, trust me, i know the feelin
195lbs today and noticeably leaner despite it being only a loss of 1lb in 2 weeks. I'm also on the third lower carb day in a row so it's a slightly false reading I guess.
Workouts have been good, back has mostly been good. Only missing one exercise from my regime to rest my back but I will be adding that back in over the weekend.
Meh. We won't really be able to make that determination until after I get my shit together and cut all this slop off of me!! :( But thanks anyway, lol.
I really screwed my body up over the years... I have SUCH a slow metabolism, it's insane. You'd think that at my weight/LBM, I'd need somewhere between 2800-3200 calories to maintain, but nope - easily can be done on 2500.
Every time I stop by you are getting blacker. Is that what the "back in black" is all about? ;)
someone say slow metabolism?
195lbs again this week though that's after 4 lower carb days.
Mediterranean holiday next week so I am expecting to come back in excess of 200lbs and I can then jump back into a lean bulk for a couple more months or so.
My hotel has a gym that I think is well kitted out with techno gym machines so I should still get some workouts in. I will use it as a slight deload week so I can launch a 4 week HIIT plan when I return.
^^ u guys sure do take a lot of holidays! maybe i should move to england. ;)
