    Just wondering what you take after a workout when cutting? How much carbs you take

    What's wrong with simple carbs for a PWO? I know a lot of people discourage the use of sugar on the diet but I have read a lot of articles stating that the use of simple carbs and protein ( or even just simple carbs and BCAA'S ) can help reduce catabolism and maintain muscle mass? I always felt that the big insulin spike after a workout with added vitamins and such could be helpful.

    I see nothing wrong with a tbsp of jelly on 2 pieces of Ezekiel bread.

    My post workout meal always has that in it even pre contest.

    5 cups hashbrowns 60g carb total
    2 pieces Ezekiel bread
    1 tbsp apple jelly
    6 egg whites
    3 oz ground beef.

    Feels like cheating but it's not Is the glorious part

    You don't want a very large insulin spike as it can promote fat storage.
