Anyone cook fish for a whole week? How does it stay?
I'll cook enough for a day or two but never tried a whole week. I dont think it would be that good
Fish will last 2 maybe 3 days. How would you reheat fish? I'll cook rice for the whole week thats about it. Fish cooks fast enough where I'll make it as I want it
Leave the fish. Its fine to nuke when u need it. Not about old crusty fish. I'll sometimes buy frozen "whitefish" fillets. Cheap. 3 minutes nuke in a tub n u can bung a bit of olive oil n seasoning b4 u nuke it. Ezpz
Ok never thought about nuking fish, ill have to try that. I don't have no time during the week to cook anything. I cook my chicken on Sunday night, trying crock pot this week. I just may have to go back eating tuna fish.
I use the crock pot alot in the winter time. Start it before I go to work. Let it sit on low and its done when I get home. Can't beat that!
Got a slow cooker for some meals. Sometimes I'll prep 2.5kilo chicken in own marinade. N grill as I go. Just finished off a bolognese/pasta based lot. Next I'm on marinated piri piri pork steaks with home made Mediterranean salad (no leafs tho) few greens. Leek. Spring onion. Cucumber. Celery. Red onion. Cherry tomatoes all finely chopped with balsamic combo added per plate (prevents cooking salad when left on it)
Sometimes I'll have turkey breast and frozen veg. Green bean base. Carrot. Broccoli. Cauliflower. Peas etc. Frozen veg again can be nuked. N sliced turkey Breast takes no time to one Cal spray fry.
I like to change my eating habits through the week as a kind of Carb cycle.
Keeping it different takes away the mundane flavour of a constantly strict diet for me personally. Juss see what works for u.
I have. Air tight containers is key to freshness.Originally Posted by ppwc1985
I don't want to mess with cooking during the week for myself, but crockpot is a great idea. Anything freshly cooked is better IMO. I just don't have the time during the week. I would rather be at the gym.![]()
