Brown Rice VS. Whole Wheat Spaghetti
So after years of dieting there's certain foods that I have to force feed myself to eat and brown rice is one of them but I think I may have just found an alternative...
The serving of brown rice I would normally eat for lunch would contain 680 kcals 6g fat 140g carbs (8g from fiber) and 16g protein.
The serving of whole wheat spaghetti I would eat would contain 540kcals 3g fat 123g carbs (18g from fiber) and 21g of protein
Do you think I would be missing much from those extra calories? Seems that it's mostly in fat and sugar anyway since the spaghetti has way more fiber and more protein but less calories.
Am I missing something or should I go for the switch and make my life that much more enjoyable?

I had same problem with brown rice, then read hear there really isn't that much difference between brown and white rice. So I just eat white rice which I can handle easier. It also helps cause my wife is Filipino and eats WR all the time.

eat it up dude. my whole wheat angel hair (barilla plus) has 36g carbs per 2oz serving.. thatd be 108g for 6 oz which is a pretty good bit! im assuming ur rice measurement is 1 cup dry??
either one are GTG IMO

405 Yeah one cup dry is right. 6oz of spaghetti is just so much easier to get down than the cup of brown rice for me so good thing we got that cleared up! lol, now I just need an equally good replacement for oats.
ppwc1985 didn't know that about white rice, good to know though. Nice to have a lady in your life huh? That's the main thing I miss about my ex, the extra food lol.

Go for it... Just adjust the rest of your daily intake to make up your macros...
