please help
im currently trying to better figure out my diet. im trying to use the harris benedict formula. when trying to figure out how active I am does that include lifting or if you didn't work out. the job I have at work is very laid back but 5 nights a week I hit the gym really hard for about an hour. Friday I just do abs and cardio

Yes, technically your TDEE involves every single calorie burned. Whether it's from lifting, cardio, sitting down... whatever. That's why we call it an ESTIMATED TDEE. Unless you carry some sort of calorie burn counter on you (which even that is not going to be 100%), you'll have to deal with some trial and error. I used LBM x 15 to when I started counting calories to get my TDEE and that is a good start for just about anyone.
