    SWEET! potatoes

so as of recently I have become a fiend for sweet potatoes! My trouble is that I especially love them baked and covered with butter and brown sugar.

Does anyone know of some similar tasting, healthier alternatives? Or what are your thoughts on the brown sugar..
I can't tell myself it's the "healthy whole grain version of white sugar" anymore ;-) haha

Not just other ways too cook and eat them. I have a few other ways. I'm just a sucker for the brown sugar haha... Is there any kind of brown sugar alternative like splenda or something?

Look up stevia. Simple sugars are really not a good thing. Unless ur a diabetic going into hypoglycemic shock... u need natural sugar if any. That's stevia

It doesn't have to be smothered. I use 5 grams of honey butter and 3-5 grams of brown sugar. That seems to be more than enough. For lunch today I just tossed one (285g) into the microwave and ate it naked (the potato - not me, lol)!

Moderation is the secret to enjoying life! IMO of course...

I just wash them poke them with holes with a fork and microwave for 8-10 min. Cut them in big slices like thick chips

Hmm. Sounds tasty. Pm me n post a picture next time I'd like to see how they turn out.
I've always wondered about making my own sweet potato "cakes" you know. Blend in some garlic. Onion. Spinach etc to oven cook. Just make up some "logs" like chrochet or however they're spelt. Usually got breadcrumbs on em. I'd probs miss out the bread crumbs ;+)
Although. Now I say it. Lol. Damn mouths watering. Ima go eat!!!

    Grilled Sweet Potato Fingers

You can get away with using only a little brown sugar here because it'll carmelize nicely on the grill and be sweet enough

I've started mixing my sweet potato in a vitamix along with almond milk and protein powder. It's damn good.

So you eat this as a drink or keep it thick like mashed potatoes?

So far just chocolate. I will sometimes add frozen fruit to the mix.

Ran out of sweet potatos (don't know how the hell that happened). Used a regular Russet instead and even with a little butter, cheese and bacon bits it's just not the same...
