I don't know if they are, but lately I've been putting 1cup in my PWO shake along with a scoop of whey with some blue berries, can't even taste the beans.

I started eating black/kidney on a daily basis. Cheap, good fiber content and pretty versatile in cooking.

Hmmm sounds like a plan! I might trow in some beans in my shake!
By they way, try black beans and splenda! Try them out, tastes awesome..for real!
So Are the beans good carbs for cutting?

black beans are low GI and low GL, slow release of sugar, which is great pre workout meal.

Any beans/legumes/lentils etc. are great carb sources that are also high in fiber. Eat up.

post workout you need something that can release sugars faster in your blood stream, this will help minimize after workout soreness, also satisfy your body from depleted sugars due to working out, this will help prevent cannibalizing your muscles. so no I wouldn't recommend low GI/GL foods post workout. mix fruits with your shake, yams, raisins, etc...

Ive incorporated black beans and pinto and kidney beans into my diet quite a bit. I do ground turkey mixed with brown rice and one of the above mention beans with a few splashes of hot sauce. Its delicious and keep well in fridge so i cook a bunch and have several means for next several days. Oh and I use fava beans quite a bit as well..THEY would be a good pre bedtime bean as the illicit GH release believe it or not.

I usually make a big container of black beans, kidney, pinto, red onion, green pepper, a can of corn, cilantro and some spices, also some mustard. .keep it in a big container in the fridge and it usually keeps for about a week.
Easy to make and tastes wicked, can throw in a can of tuna every serving if you're after some more protein.
Beans always seem under rated, why do people choose to eat rice over beans? Is there a reason behind it ?
