    Cup of Oatmeal...

    One cup of oatmeal with protein in it 30 mins before you workout. Good idea or not?

    Thought about doing that instead of doing it after my workout. Been doing it after my workout for awhile now. I pour my protein drink in it.

    What are yalls thought on this?

    Might start eating chicken sandwich or tuna sandwich afterwards. Maybe.

    It's a good idea if you're pressed for time or don't have access to a kitchen to cook. Otherwise protein from real food is best, I haven't used protein powders for a while now.

    It could be a great idea, it could be a horrible idea, and it could be anything in between. You're removing one small meal from your day out of the context of your whole diet. Without knowing more no one can answer this question.

    One meal back and forth will not matter one bit unless it, for you specifically, helps with your energy levels. But as Docd said, without knowing the whole picture it would be hard to know.

    If it fits your macros I say go for it. My breakfast every day is cup of oatmeal with 2 scoops protein, one greek yogurt and 2 tbl spoons natty PB. Works for me!

    I prefer after WO.... I use protein and fruit before....
