Sounds like a funny question, but i'm actually completely serious. If you eat a lot at once, perhaps more than your body can actually use... does it go out through your poop?

It seems so...to a small degree.
......Previous studies of healthy adults showed that ≈5% of ingested calories were lost in stools and urine (6). Individuals who consume high-fiber diets exhibit a higher fecal energy loss than individuals who consume low-fiber diets with an equivalent energy content (7, 8). Webb and Annis (9) studied stool energy loss in 4 lean and 4 obese individuals and showed a tendency to lower the fecal energy excretion in obese compared with lean study participants.......

It's a legitimate question....I just never really pondered on that part of the equation.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

On the flip side, if you're dumping your guts every 15 minutes, it would seem as though the calories would really be flying out......literally.

depends how many peanuts you eat
lol I've never heard anyone ask something like that before.. pretty interesting thought tho.
Total speculation on my part, but it doesn't seem logical that we'd waste 'calories'. The body excretes what we cannot use (i.e. waste product), but we've evolved to store anything we can use but can't do so right away. Calories simply being pooped out would seem to go against how we evolved. It'd be awesome though... maybe my BF% would be lower if that were the case, lol.
Feces contain macronutrients (calories). Your digestive system does not operate with 100% efficiency, and some food inevitably is excreted without being absorbed. People with a faster metabolism pass food through their small intestine faster and thus have less time to absorb all the nutrients/calories.
Just hold it in for a few days and you'll get it all.
Hook, line, sinker.... Done!

Ya know...... that may be the future of sports nutrition. Fecal analysis. They are already doing it on cattle and horses. They actually analyze the feces and adjust the diet accordingly to achieve body mass goals. Why not for bodybuilding/powerlifting? That's some next level shit right there.
Truer words have never been spoken :-)
Thanks
