Macros while taking clen?
I've read that a good formula while taking clen is:
Protein: 1.5/lb
Fat: .25/lb
Carbs: .5-1/lb
This comes to about 40 grams of fat/day, 80 grams of carbs and 200 grams of protein (1480 calories) Does this sound like an OK plan? Ive never consumed more than 150 grams of protein a day. Should I consume less on my rest days?
(I rounded my fat up a bit so it's easier to divide into 4 meals which is easiest for me )
FYI - I am a 5'3, 135lb female, about 20% bf, doing an upper/lower body split 4 x a week. No cardio other than walking my dog daily.Last edited by dumbelle; 11-06-2013 at 02:18 PM.

Sorry I just added in my height - 5'3.
I am not taking clen right now, I plan on starting next week. I've been reading as much as I can about it for the past month or so, but I have found so much different information on it (mostly for men) so I figured I would come right out and ask more knowledgeable people than I. 200 grams of protein seems a little excessive to me, so Im also not sure if its supposed to be 1.5/lb LEAN mass or not.

Why don't you just add cardio rather than take clen ? It's pretty uncomfortable stuff.
But yes, your protein calculations should really be based on lean mass. Clen works better on lower carb diets.
20% is already pretty lean for a female! what is your goal?

clen is hard on the body especially on the heart. I am assuming your goal is to lean out more, correct? if so at your age i'd recommend looking into proper diet and perhaps OTC supplements like Austinite's Fat Loss Stack, you probably will get better results doing it this way.

and you should do cardio, it'll speed things up. you can cut on protein a little if you like.

Really? I actually do a lot better on low carb diets but everything I've read so far states you need carbs while using clen ?
Ideally I would like to drop about 5% bf. I'm pretty stuck on using clen, I just don't have time to be doing much more exercise than I already am. I have a little dog who won't run so doing more than walking with her is out of the question haha, and I also spend a lot of time doing mobility/recovery work because I have a handful of injuries from overexercising in the past.

Well, one question.
How many calories does it take to maintain your current stats?NO SOURCES GIVEN

Currently I'm eating 1600 on my training days and 1400 on my rest days.

So, an average of 1500. Your proposal of 1480 therefore is on the high side. Whilst clen is a thermogenic it won't account for several hundred calories per day.
My suggestion, based on stats provided, would be
Protein 160g
Fats 40g
Carbs 75g
That'll give you approx 1300cals as an average. If you want to consume less/no carbs on non training days and then make up the difference on training days that's ok.
I've used clen a few times but I won't again, it's too uncomfortable for too long a period. I'd choose the stack that Bass alludes to in his post above or go with a classic ECA.NO SOURCES GIVEN

Thank you! I actually have 1 cheat meal a week too of about 500 calories. Just for sanity reasons because I have tendencies to binge if I don't haha. And I am still losing a bit of weight with the calories I stated.
You've all been so helpful!
