Effects of not eating much for a few days?

Past few days Ive barely eaten anything (probably around 400 calories total each day). Is this going to affect my metabolism?
(My bf and I broke up, I am too sad to eat, I have been getting my calories from mrps)

    sorry to hear.

i would try to eat. eating that little will def cause metabolic adaptation. it will take more than few days but i would get started on trying to eat. i dont know ur circumstances, but this could be looked upon as an opportunity!

    first of all, welcome aboard!

like 405 said, i think it could possibly slow your metabolism some.

sorry to hear about your break up doll

try going lift some weights or doing some cardio to get your endorphins going again.

and now you need to look for a new drive, what motivates you?

First, I'm sorry to hear about your breakup. I don't know your circumstances obviously, but it takes time, you'll start feeling 'normal' soon enough.

As already stated, try and eat. Your metabolism isn't going to slow after only a couple days, but not eating is obviously counter productive to what we do. Getting your calories from MRP's is better than nothing. If that's what it takes for now, keep doing it.

Whey Protein Shake made with Heavy Cream and Peanut Butter. Will even make the thoughts about that old boyfriend of yours disappear ;-)

Short term starvation isn't going to create any long-term issues.

Focus on your emotional well-being first.

ahh that depressed feeling, I hate it. I am like you, can't eat anything when I am depressed! I know what the guys suggested seem impossible at your state of mind, but unfortunately its the only way. look in the mirror and start loving yourself more, be positive about your self. you're only 22 geeezzz, you got your whole life a head of you! i'd give up 10 years of my life to be 22 again

That sounds do delicious. Thank you! For some reason I start cry heaving whenever I smell food, pretty weird because I'm usually a binger when I'm upset haha. Easier to stuff your face with delicious foods than healthy ones though I suppose.
