    carb timing on cycle

    I'm strict about when I ingest carbohydrates as I feel they're the group that makes me retain fat the most. I keep carbs to the morning, easily because I also workout in the morning. if you're like me, and if you have cycle experience, how did you work in extra carbs? did you find you were able to eat them more throughout the day or did you keep your normal diet and just eat larger portions? any insight appreciated of course even if you don't eat like me! thanks!

    Have you bumped your carb intake as per the cycle?

    If you're carb sensitive, I'd suggest keeping them localized around your workout window as you're already doing. If you've increased your intake, just add more to when you're already eating them.

    Conversely, you can add a small carb meal before bed. I know this might sound counter productive, but since you train in the am (how early?), it could be beneficial to your training session.

    I'm making my own shakes, bass and back in black reminded me of the crap in mass gainer lol so I'm gonna add one at night... only just now started cycle but haven't adjusted cals yet, I was going to just add more of what I already eat so like you said I'll do that......I workout at 5am

    Last time I 'bulked', this was my bedtime meal:

    3/4 cup liquid egg whites
    3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
    1/2 cup oats
    1/2 banana
    1tbsp natty PB
    1tbsp instant coffee (decaf if it keeps you up)
    1tbsp raw cacao powder
    2-4 stevia packets (depends on how sweet you like it)
    1/2 scoop ON casein
    1/2 scoop ON whey
    1/2 cup 1% milkfat, no salt cottage cheese
    1 cup crushed ice

    Blend and enjoy!! Roughly: 60g protein, 50g carbs, 15g fat

    I like it! so basically I should try to make shakes with minimal supplementing and try to get carbs from natural sources?
