    Surgar Alcohols

From time to time, I hear people ask about sugar alcohols and how they differ from actual sugar. Here are a couple good links that helps explain..

Not worth it in my opinion.

they are big in america i know with everything "sugar free" lyle mcdonald has touched base on them quite a bit on his website.

for myself if i need something sweet ill just consume sugar.

Sorbitol is especially bad for causing bloating and bad diarrhea, ive only seen one product that had the warning on hits label, a new Zealand ice cream that was sugar free, sweated with sorbitol.

Im not a Dr but apparently it still effect blood sugar the same, so 3 great reasons to avoid them

I've also seen a combination of both sugar and sugar alcohol content in things, even protein bars. There are definitely adverse effects as well as some (supposed) benefits.

    Nice Igi!
I agree, and have found sugar alcohol content in protein bars can vary even in the same brand.
    Pays to read those labels!
