    Pasteurized raw eggs

Started buying egg white cartons from Costco and each carton has 50g of protein. Question is since they are already cooked, would it be better for protein absorption to drink them raw or take the time and cook them. I would prefer to just drink them raw.

Drink them raw? Sounds quite unappealing.

Pasteurized does not necessarily mean cooked. If it was so they would not be labeled as "raw"

Pasteurized just means heated to a certain temp for a certain length of time.

Its better to cook so as to avoid egg white biotin binding. Amino acid wise it makes no diff.

But you can go Rocky Balboa if that is your preference.

You can do either. They are just as bioavailable uncooked as they are cooked. The texture isn't like a white straight from the shell so there should be no 'gagging' issues.

Thank you I am just lazy that I don't want to cook them and I thought the biotin issue only had to deal with raw unpasteurized egg whites.
