Pineapple juice to help with muscle repair and inflamation???

I over heard two guys talking at the gym about drinking a cup or two of dole pineapple juice a day to help the with muscle repair and it also has an helps with inflamation. They guy was like "dude google it, its all over google." I assume most of this is BS as I have never heard of this before and most juices are packed with sugar. IF it were true, and a big IF, I'd assume fresh pineapple would be better than canned juice

It has anti inflammatory effects, but the sugar in it will do more harm than good. eat fresh pineapple, better for you.

You know what's even better for inflammation and vital to overall health? Omega 3 fatty acids.

Pineapple is awesome stuff and contains an enzyme called bromelain that aids digestion and helps prevent inflammation and swelling.

Although most of this enzyme is in the central stem. It's a great enzyme but I'd rather rely on supplementation of it rather than having to eat too much pineapple to get enough for the benefit.

*note* I do eat a pineapple a week though
