personally i have had good success cycling carbs. there are a bunch of people who have also done well with Keto. it comes down to which works best for you, which can only be learned thru trial and error.

if u have tried neither id recommend cycling carbs first.

if u havent, check this out:

No carbs = muscle look flat and people go into im so small mental mind fuc* syndrome.

Carb cycle with a good amount of carbs on your low days, carb refeed window. All looks good on paper but find what works for you. small adjustments till u find what works for you. Ive done a lot of trial and error and personally i would never go below 250g carbs on low days. and a big fan of using 5 hour window carb ups for my body weight that's like 600 carbs plus the 250 i would normally eat. for some that's every 4 days, others every 7 and for some every 10-14 days

More study's have been coming out that back the fact no matter what you do, higher protein intake on a cut is necessary to help stall muscle loss. A recent journal talks about 3.3g protein/per kg of body weight needed to hold onto mass

As humans, its correct we dont need carbs to survive but as a body builder carbs are one of our best tools to utilize for muscle growth. using carbs, fats and protein together just seals the deal.
