Been following along. I was almost criticized for eating @ 1350 for a cut. Doesn't seem unrealistic in comparison.

    Carry on.

I hear ya. Probably 1900cals would be perfect, but i understand your problems with nutrition lately. But if cals get too low, the fat burning will slow down.

The post I quoted is not referring to metabolic damage and quite simply, to a large extent, it does not exist. The Minnesota Starvation Experiment is one prime example.

I meant that if cals are too low, the metabolism slows which effects the fat burning process.

Ohh, a discussion in my log Got kind of excited there for a second!

    Day 51

Food today is MIXED with a total of 1,355kcal that breaks down into 3g Carbs, 59g Fat, and 197g Protein.

    Mood is OK.

Workout today was SHOULDERS & TRAPS, 20min HIIT, and 15min LISS.

Days since last cheat is 3 and record is 34 days

Why are calories so low? I am running a 24h protein only cycle as per my schedule in my first post and I always start that the evening before so most of the protein only part happens when I am asleep. Back to regular food at dinner tomorrow.

Good question, I am honestly not sure but around 16%-18% perhaps. According to my calculations I should be around 15% on May 1. I'll run another DEXA scan in a month or so, we shall see what that says. Guessing is not so much part of my mindset when it comes to this stuff.

I have modified my workout slightly adding more sets to each exercise and switching some exercise for new ones. Was about 24 months ago I changed anything so it was about time.

Well ****, just pulled my left back muscle while putting on a weight on the barbell and it is hurting like no tomorrow. Ibuprofen and Voltaren doing it's job atm. We shall see if it feels better tomorrow or otherwise it will be a visit to a chiropractor.

    ARGHHHH!!!

    177g carbs = 708 cals
    131g fat = 1179 cals
    242g protein = 968 cals
    Total =2855 cals

You have either been a bit naughty or miscalculated the macros.

Hmm. Odd. This is what myfitnesspal shows. I agree, this is not correct.

    Day 56

    Food today is CHEAT DAY.

    Mood is AWESOME.

Workout today was CHEST and chopped 212ft³ of wood after that.

Days since last cheat is 0 and record is 34 days

Weighed-in today at 159.7lb which is 0.9lb more than last week. Not really anything to worry about just one of those weeks. Unless weight-gain continues 2 weeks in a row I am changing nothing.

Had another cheat day. With all the preparations for our move I am happy if I lose any weight at all. It is simply be to many distractions to keep a 100% focus. On a positive note my training is going really well at this time especially considering the Volume increase I have just added.

    Day 59

    Food today
is MIXED with a total of 1,704kcal with a breakdown of 22g Carbs, 66g Fat, and 257g Protein.

    Mood is GOOD.

Workout today was Legs & Abs and it felt really, REALLY good :-).

Everything is planned in detail but here is the explanation, note explanation, not excuse.

We are currently moving from California to Bangalore India but we are actually in Sweden. Things to move from 3 countries, visas to fix, business to start, well, there are just a lot of stuff happening. I am currently really happy that I get all my workout in. There are simply so damn many things to fix, so many people to meet and say goodbye to that the plan I have only works intermittently. I am trying to inject some water fast days to, somewhat, make up for the way our lives are at this time. Having started a cut with all this crap was probably not the smartest but on the other hand, it is keeping me from actually gaining any weight at this time.

    Thanks

    Day 62

    Food today is WATER FAST.

    Mood is GREAT.

Workout today was Chest & Abs and I think I have finally noticed a growing chest because I can feel some muscles moving in there

Days since last cheat is 1 and record is 34 days

Considering where I started I am happy with my progress. Am I running below the norm for muscle growth and fat loss? Probably! Does it really matter considering this is now very much a part of my lifestyle? Probably not
