    Calorie need calculating

Heya I have been researching a lot about nutrition and gotten to the point of actually constructing my diet.

I noticed that counting my calories+ macro need from TDEE is easier for me and is not complex.

Should I use this way of calculating instead:Formulating your diet for beginers

I have calculated my needs from the linked thread and I get over 4000+ calories. I feel like that thread goes really in depth into counting your needs like thermic effect of food and adaptive thermogenesis.

Should I just use the TDEE method since I find it just more simple?

I also wanted to ask about the activity level part of the TDEE thread.

I work currently in kindergarten and my day is quite hectic since I mostly clean stuff and wipe tables.

I'm going to do 5x5 type of routine 3 times a week and will follow a cutitng diet. I'm basicly not sure into what activity level I fall and by how much should I multiply my BMR?

To calculate your BMR use the Katch-McArdle method if you have an accurate BF% estimate and if not use the Harris-Benedict formula. From there multiply the BMR by an activity factor to estimate TDEE. In your case I'd begin with 1.3-1.4. It's not important to get this exactly correct. It is a guess and a place to start. Run the diet and then determine if you need to adjust calorie intake to suit your goals. If you're bulking for example and you gain no weight after 2wks you know the TDEE estimate was low and to adjust cals up 200-300calories for a week or two.
