I've had Hypothyroidism since I was 14. I'll be 30 this month. 1.5 years ago I decided to make a change in my life to live a healthier lifestyle. I was 300lbs and I lost over 80. Since then I've gained about 40 back. It's extremely difficult for me to keep the weight off. I went to see my Endo and had some blood tests done.
TSH 10.3
T 270 (he said this is acceptable, I disagree)
Cholesterol was through the roof.
So were triglycerides
I've had Drs messing with my thyroid medicine for 15 years now. I've only been able to lose weight by what I would consider extreme dieting. Grilled chicken 4 meals a day with a veggie. And 2 shakes. Drinking water only. Lifting 4-5 days a week and cardio 5+ days a week.
As far as I'm concerned I've wasted 15 years letting the "Pro's" aka Drs medicate me. I'm willing to put in the time at the gym and dieting.
Please help.
