artificial sweeteners
Forgive me if this has been covered already, I'm on the mobile app and can't use the search feature.
Looking for some opinions on artificial sweeteners in regards to health standpoints. I buy bulk powered supplements and add my own flavoring to them and for quite some time have used powered Gatorade for this purpose.
I am now trying to reduce my sugar intake and have been looking at liquid flavoring products like Mio, Crystal Light, and Kool-Aid. Curious on everyone's thoughts on the artificial sweeteners contained inside of them (ACE-K, Aspartame, and sucralose) and if I would just be better off consuming natural sugar?
Thanks!

From my readings
For every one study theres one to debunk the other
I use crystal light or the generic of and have used sf koolaide as well...love em both and save prolly 500 calories a day if I were to drink real sugared beverages
pretty sure there r a few threads on it as well maybe someone will post a link for u...thought id bump it for u as well as my .02

I dont think there are any conclusive studies to indicate adverse effects.
There are some that argue that they trick the body and you eat more... bla....bla...bla, mess up your brain...bla...bla...bla, etc.
I don't see any problem with artificial sweeteners, although they do diff in sweetness and taste. Just find the one that you like.
I drink a hell of a lot of diet coke, no issues whatsoever.

When I shredded down to <8% BF I was consuming quite a bit of Sucralose in all the supps I was taking (protein, BCAAS, preworkout) etc.
Short term it didn't effect my ability to hit my fitness goals, who knows what its doing to me long term tho.
I have since cut way back, I actually don't like them as much as I use to
