    Carbs before bed

    Does eating carbs before bed contribute to fat gain? Assuming you're not in a calories surplus....

    I think this is more of a gym myth than anything else. If you hit your daily macros, you will break even. If you are in a caloric surplus, you will gain weight. In a caloric deficit, you will lose weight.

    the body is a fairly forgiving machine, and the timing of when you eat carbs, to a certain extent, really doesn't have much of an impact on whether or not you will lay on fat.

    I don't.

    I eat around 100g of carbs about an hour before bed every night. As long as I take care of my calories (and macro split to an extent) it's not an issue.

    There's no physiological mechanism in the body that makes carbs before bed turn to fat while carbs during the day goes towards energy or muscle building
