    Fruits before workout

As we know fruits have sugar and of course different fruits have different nutrition benefits as well. Hhhmmm what to do. I have been eating a fruit mix of grapes, oranges, watermelon, and cantaloupe with lunch but of course the spike in sugar is not a great thing for me to keep doing and makes it hard to continue the fat burn. So you know my mi is a small amount of each of these fruits.

So anyone think the negative these fruit sugars have on the body would be greatly diminished if I made them into a smoothie with my breakfast which I have before I workout in the morning? My breakfast consists of three eggs and oatmeal with a banana. I have a post workout shake.

I confine my simple sugar intake to fruits, like you. And I confine when I eat fruit to pre workout. Usually two bananas is enough for an intense workout.

Making them into a smoothie will increase their metabolic rate, and how quickly they are consumed. What I am not sure of is how significant this increase will be.

    Thanks for the reply.

Alright so if I wanna make em into a smoothie I better be working out very soon then. The smoothie part doesn't really matter to me. I just wanted to get breakfast over with so I could get to the gym on time.

I am literally outside the gym, eating a banana, right before walking in

Solids take longer to pass through the stomach than liquids, since they require more digestion. That's all he meant.

Ahh ok. Read way to much into it and considering I found nothing around it I am happy you clarified it.

    Thanks

another example is the potato. A baked whole potato has a better GV than mashed potatoes. The more you process a food with carbs in it, the easier it is to convert it to sugar, and therefore, worsens the GV of the food.
