    Going camping, need carb ideas?

Going camping this weekend, just found out. I have a cooler, will have pre cooked chicken breasts for lunch/dinner and I'm going to hard boil a dozen eggs or so for breakfast and snacks.

But I need some ideas for carbs? Won't be able to cook rice, haven't thought up a way to pre cook it and just heat it up, same with oats.. was thinking maybe a sweet potato or two, but if I bake them can I eat them cold? (Never even had sweet potato so bear with me).

I'm really pretty simple on my day to day. Oats or rice. Some days I have pasta but again, not really something I can take with me.

Or should I say screw it, its only two nights and eat hot dogs like the "normal" people and make up for it next week

Sweet potato, foil them and throw in fire for about 40-60 min.

    Popcorn roasted over the fire.

And wheat bread is not going to kill you!

    Have fun man!

^^this. You can always powder your oats before you go. Easier to 'drink' but nor chewy fun.

As ragin says bread ain't gonna kill you neither will some cereals, shredded wheat particularly low in terms of sugar and amounts of process.

I hate sweet potatoes but bake some normal spuds and you'll be ok.
