am i right in thinking this when cutting ????

so ive been hearing about "carb loading" when on a strict cutting diet am i right in thinking say you do a very strict cut for 2 weeks with extemerly low carbs that one day every 2 weeks you should have a day when you eat a load of carbs to fuel up and it wont slow down your fat loss gains ?? not saying pizza etc more like oats, nuts, potato's wholegrain bread etc i know id love to start the day with 3 pieces of wholegrain bread smothered in peanut butter !!!!!!!

You can eat whatever you want just keep your calories under your tdee, caloric deficit is all that matters.

No but I was lead to believe say 14 days streight you only consume 1800-2000 cals of high protein low carbs & fats that once every 14 days it can be wise to up the calerie's to say 4000 for that day of high carbs, high fats and the same amount of protein so focus on getting in the carbs and fats that day which can aid in fat loss and muscle growth & repair when you go back to your 2 weeks of strict dieting again. I guess it's like a shock on the body???

Agreed. WHAT (quality) you eat is just as important as how much (quantity) you eat. Eating small slices of cheese cake all day and staying below your TDEE isn't going to lead anyone to desired results - unless you desire to look bad. lol

Some studies have showed that it is good to up the carbs every so often to show your metab off a little bit. I actually do low carb have one cheat meal a week and my results are going well and always have been. I get no ill affects from a cheat meal. I think it helps speed the metab a little bit for the lower calories you do the other 6 days a week. I have never done a carb load day, just a cheat meal with is usually a carb load.
just play with it a little bit and see what works for you. after a cheat meal you will feel FAT or like a WHALE like i do. but then I go to bed and wake up shredded and continue good diet for 6 more days.

for the most part, assuming your carbs are low enuff the rest of the time and ur diet is fitted properly.

i typically cycle carbs based on training such as:

    220g training
    180g non training
    320g refeed every 7 days..

as long as ur protein is adequate, fats are where they need to be, then u should be fine.

u mentioned bread and peanut butter.. typically when refeeding u dont want to increase fats from where they are the rest of the time, just carbs, which may cause u to have to adjust some other parts of ur diet.
