    Thoughts on eating after cardio

How long after you stop running on an empty stomach does your body still burn fat/muscle?

cardio (assuming you are doing it correctly) speeds up your metabolism and this "effect" can last a couple of days

Don't think. Just eat what you're supposed to.

Running on an empty stomach is quite likely to utilise muscle for fuel as it is fat.

Cardio after lifting is my absolute preferred way to do it.

Maybe I'll try squeezing cardio in after work and then after gym tonight. Means I won't get home for dinner until about 8pm. I really need to pull the trigger on the cardio.

Been doing it this way for years. Dont necessarily think it is better than any other time per se ( I used too) but it sure works out well since I am at the gym and so on.

i like PWO cardio as well. i have come to see how little cardio is really necessary as it comes to maintaining a lean physique, provided macros are set up right.

right now im only doing 40mins per week!

Lol.. its interesting, im eating more carbs now and doing less cardio and staying lean. Part of my previous prob was i had protein set too high (about 350g) which gave me an extra 400cals per day that i couldve applied to carbs, since i think 350g pro is way more than i need.

"Afterburn" effect after doing HIIT is up-to 24h, never heard of it lasting longer. Afterburn when doing LISS would be new to me but if anyone have more info on that I am all ears.
