Caloric intake while on a cutting cycle.

I'm going to be starting my first cut on cycle and I had a question about my caloric intake while I'm on. I'll give you a quick profile.

    Profile
    Age:27
    Height: 5'8"
    Weight 200lb
    Current intake: 2500cal Carb cycle
BF%: sry I don't have this info yet...
    Goal: 185lb

    8 Week cycle
    test/stan/arim

My research says that an ideal Caloric intake for 1-2lb a week is 1900-2100cal. I was going to start at 2000cal, however my buddy told me that the whole point of cutting on cycle is so you can drop your caloric intake below the "standard". Meaning that I should drop to a 1800 or lower calorie intake. Is there any validity to my buddy's comments? My understanding for cutting on cycle is to preserve/grow muscle while your body is in a calorie deficit state. Thank you for your help!

Be better if we had your bodyfat. Post a pic, that's often the best way.

What is your current maintenance caloric intake?

What type of test are you planning and what amounts of each compound?
    What is your cycle history
    Where is your HCG ?
    What is your pct plan?

2500 is my current maintenance intake.
This would be my first cycle.
My cycle looks like this. Please add suggestions.
    Sustanon 270mg M/Th (540mg) 8weeks
    Stanozolol 40mg everyday 6 weeks
    Arimidex 0.5mg everyday 12 weeks
    PCT
    Nolvadex 25mg a day 4 weeks
    Clomid 100mg a day 4 weeks

My understanding of HCG is that it's used for heavy and longer cycles that's why I didn't pick it up.

    What is your bodyfat %?

Why, if you want to cut, are you eating at maintenance?

The numbers don't add up mate.

So I crunched the numbers myself and as I thought, your TDEE is actually closer to 3000. Your BMR itself is almost 2000cals/day, and with a moderate activity level of 1.55, your TDEE jumps to 3k.

Even if you stay at 2,500 cals a day, which would be a good deficit of 500, make sure you consume at least 260 grams of protein per day. This minimum protein calc is accurate for everything above say, 10% BF.
