Storing Protein & Glutamine in Car ?

    Hey Buds,

With my busy schedule (sales job), i am on the go 10hrs a day. Chit...by the time i get down the road, i remember, "Dayum...i forgot to bring my protein shake!"

I KNOW, that storing protein powder in the car is a no no. BUT, what about this idea:

    • Take a small cooler and Store your Protein there...?
    • Wouldn't this help keep it an acceptable Temperature Level and NOT destroy the value of the Powdered Protein?

(JUST ASKING...i'm super busy...and stopping to mix protein before i leave the house, is another STEP that is sometimes difficult).

    Anyway...just asking.

    Thanks!

Why is storing protein powder in the car is a no no? A serious question..

Unless it's mid summer and boiling outside , what would be the problem?

YOU SEE MY YOUNG FRIEND, many of us on this board live in places where there is SUNSHINE all year round (those of us who have money anyway). Anyway, protein loses its efficacy when EXPOSED TO HEAT.

    Get it?

Have u ever thought of filling the shaker with ice cubes? I live in the desert and it cools the shake for good 5 hours..

When I asked you , I meant that my question is serious not urs, i wasn't bashing , I just wanted to know, I thought that mixing it out would screw it up.

    Hey Rida,

Sorry...i CAN be a bit of a Sarcastic Twit (sometimes)

Ice cubes would not work...Again, the idea is to store the Protein Container/Tube (5-6lbs) in a cool and dry place in the car, I can then carry 3-4 shaker bottles seperatly, and mix a drink whenever i want. Water or Soy Milk or whatever---can be purchased at convience store.

Ideally you would want to store the protein in the trunk SO ITs out of the way (if you are busy like me)...and then where-ever you happen to be, and don't feel like standing in line for fast food....you just jump out of the car, mix a shake and BOOM....you got another 20-50g OF protein in your system.

TEMPERATURE in the car will reach 120 degrees plus (on a sunny day). On HOT DAYS, its gets even hotter inside, AND THE TRUNK Temp is usually about 10 degrees warmer.

    Woa....that's a NICE KIT !

Where did you get it (if i may ask) ?

BTW: i use 2 types of special protein powders. Not your normal protein sup you can buy at any store. So, that's my main concern. Doing more research.

    Bahahahaha....!

Well...one day, when i can afford it, i will purchase a trailer with a Mobile Frieg and grill that i can pull behind my Car. This way, i can make a smoothy or steak any time i want!

Hmmm....i guess if i had that much money, i would just pull over and run into a Smoothie Store---but now that i think of it...most Smoothie Stores sell crap protein---and most of them don't carry the kinda of protein i like----sigh.

Plus if you are in the woods (as i sometimes drive to), you can't find anything...not even a Wendy's for a Crap Hamburger!

Would that kill your battery when the car isn't running? It's pretty cool but I don't know if I'd spend 5 bills on it though lol

YEP...I'VE seen them Raging. I have an Inverter and separate battery setup in my car. I use it for my computer....But, i think i would need a bigger vehicle for a freezer setup like that.
