    How Do You Make Oatmeal?

Hello all, question here about the right way to make oatmeal and if there is any real difference in microwaving it or cooking it on the stove top. Keep in mind I am not referring to those flavored packages oatmeal that you just warm up. I usually just put like 1/2 a cup or 50 grams of quaker oats in a bowl, fill it with a decent amount of water then throw it in the microwave for 50 seconds. Was wondering if there was any real difference for bodybuilding purposes if I was to make it on the stovetop. Just came to my mind because I have heard a few guys mention microwaving makes it more processed or something, less nutritional value, Here is a quote from Antoine Vaillant: Go old-school. When it comes to oatmeal, texture matters. That's why Antoine avoids the microwave and boils his water in a tea kettle. "It's very hit and miss," he says of the microwave. "Sometimes it ends up too chunky or too dry. But with [the tea kettle], I just add it to the quick oats, and it's just the perfect amount every time. Mix it up, and it's like hot cereal. Actually, it is hot cereal."

How would this be a desert though, Adding some natural Peanut butter would just give you your fats, or do you add other things?

I use 2/3 cup dry oats add almond milk/water and microwave for 3:30, I mix it really wet so it cooks well without getting too dry. I add peanut butter, protein powder, mixed nuts, craisens, frozen fruit, and cinnamon. It is a nice solid meal, sometimes I will fry up a couple eggs too and eat them before the oatmeal.

Usually ... 1/2 cup oats, raw, dumped into 8oz liquid egg whites + scoop protein powder blend ... chug, chew, repeat.
