Why is sodium a problem? Unless you are hypertensive or not drinking enough water, I do not see sodium as a huge issue. I'm not a serious BBer (more of a speed athlete), but I have cottage cheese virtually every day in the diet I lean out well on (and it's in my bulk diet often too). It's also a great bedtime snack (protein, tryptophan, and calcium.. can't go wrong).
True, you may hold a lil more water on a high sodium diet (so almost definetly not part of a pre-comp diet), but that goes away quickly, so other than that, what is the problem you are worried about?![]()
If your a BB, you want to cut out the sodium 6 weeks out of comp, and replace it with sea kelp and iodine supp, high amounts of sodium cause you to retain water, otherwise dont worry about it too much.
I wouldnt stress out too much like the others have said about the sodium content....
it should only be a problem if your competeting or have a health condition
