    Bod pod, Good or Bad

    I just started my cut for the summer so I was just curious what I was sitting at body fat wise. I go to a University where you can get it done for pretty cheap so I figured why not. I've read that those are the most accurate butttt, it says I'm at around 21% as where my best guess would be around 13%. Anyone else have any experience with these tests?

    13% is pretty lean, generally visible abs and a good amount of vascularity. Bod pods and dexa scans are usually pretty accurate I think.

    Post a pic. We'll tell you.

    Don't forget the bod bod ,ensures ALL your fat, you can generally add 3-4% to your own estimate of 'visible' fat.

    Bod pods are very reliable and accurate. Only thing that is generally regarded as slightly more accurate is Dexa scanning. Unless the operator screwed something up which isn't too likely, I'd say you just underestimated.

    Yes 20% would be about right, the bodpod gets the fat from all areas so you could be holding more on your back than your abs, glutes > quads etc.

    Peoples perceptions of bodyfat % is generally wrong, they think 10% is lean when in fact a real 10% is shredded as hell, 12% is really lean and 15% is still usually visible abs and decent vascularity.
