Smile Questions for those who know about paleo

I know a ton of people who practice a paleo diet suggest staying away from all grains and beans. I like a lot of what they say, but can't bring myself to accept that eating steal cut oats or brown rice is bad when they load up and think it's fine to eat a meal that consists entirely of bacon. Also, I've read that white beans act as carb blockers, but then I've heard from paleo guys that beans have somethin to negatively affect the bodies ability to digest protein from meat. I'd love to hear from anyone who knows about this stuff.

i think the only way it would have negative effects is if you were to eat waaaaaay too many calories, or if one was allergic to a certain food.

only true way to see how your body responds is to experiment with it and see

Clean eating, is much more of a functional dietary approach. People have different takes on it, but what they do not tell you is that what is good for one person isn't good for teh person sitting next to them. I cannot eat rice because I have a sensitivity to it and I bloat up and feel horrible. So picking a dietary strategy based on vague principles may set one up for dietary problems. Eat what makes you feel good and choose foods that support your goals. I like chicken and potatoes and my main source for calories. Not because some paleo supporter says so, but because they fill me up, I feel good througout teh day, and I have a high level of energy when I train.
