I am planning to increase my food intake by 300 calories - can this all be through carbs?

Some people say 40/40/20 and some say 1.5gm protien per pound - currently I am doing both - lol - but I won't be able to stomach more protien unless I really have to.
    Calories - 3100
    Protien - 271
    Carbs - 349
    Fat - 69

    My stats
    Weight - 180
    Bf% - 17.2%
    Height - 5'8
Goal - get big without getting fat

    Thanks in advance

1.5g/lb of protein is enough IMO, I'd say split your 300cal over healthy fats and carbs.

Alot of ppl eat high carb.

40/40/20 is what i try to do but I never really hit that exact. Carbs, and fats go a little higher almost every time when gaining. But I try to do this all with healthy foods.

I would love to do 40/40/20 but it's so expensive. I will increase my protien when I start 3500 calories in 4-8 weeks.

Most of my carbs are coming from yams, rice and oats.

Fats from fish, flaxseed, pistachios and almonds.

Eating pretty good - just need to be patient

Organic chicken is too expensive for me and I try to avoid regular chicken coz of all the hormones.

I had a gyno surgery 5 years ago and somewhat blame it on the chicken from Walmart - lol. Seriously every time I eat excess chicken I feel I get bitch tits.

I ate 8 egg whites after reading your comment

Yep, and I mix stuff that I don't like into it like black beans.

Remember carbohydrates are also protein sparing! Your body favors the catabolism of carbs way more than the laboring task of breaking down proteins.
